You Don’t Have to be a Mechanic to Install a Frantz Filter

After more than 60 years of innovation, the Frantz Filter is now the easiest oil purification system to install and maintain on the market today. Each kit includes the parts needed to allow you to install them in the comfort of your own garage.

A typical installation ranges from 30-40 minutes, depending on your vehicle. The engine specific kits listed on our website (6.0 L Ford, 7.3 Ford, 5.9 & 6.7 Cummins, etc.) will be among the quicker installs, since they are custom built for those vehicles. However, you may request additional parts with the Universal Kit to simplify the installation on your specific vehicles.

    I really appreciate your videos. I have a Astro Van, and wondered how I could mount a one (1) Qt. Unit. Now I see. I really like the improved way of the routing for the return line. We used to punch a hole in our oil pans. Never did like that method. Now it is safe and maintenance free. I have also made inquiry online with you about a two (2) quart cap oil filter for a v-1650 Merlin Packard Rolls Royce Engine.

    Love your products. Been using them since I was 16 yrs of age. I am now 64.

    Gentleman: Best System Going!! I have used the Frantz filter system on many vehicles since 1977, and found that if the unit is mounted vertically, and tipped slightly toward the outlet port, one can save quite a mess when changing the element. This allows the oil to drain out of the filter unit. Change the element when the engine is cold. Unfortunately, the return line must be lower than the unit so that the oil will drain back to the engine. This might make mounting the filter and finding a suitable drain point more difficult, but in the long run, makes the element change much quicker and more pleasurable.
